After completing a degree in Fine Jewellery in Australia at Curtin University where she was recognised for her work with the Artisan of the Sea Award for outstanding contribution and achievement in Jewellery/3D design Miranda travelled to the United Kingdom in 2001, she settled in London and started working in the London Jewellery industry as well as developing her skills with additional training. Since her move to London Miranda has won further awards which recognise her talent and creativity as a jewellery designer. Her latest accolade is the Lonmin Design Innovation Award 2010, a coveted award within the industry.
Miranda’s design influences vary greatly from her love of Art Deco architecture and jewellery to nature and the everyday, but one of her biggest influences is her love of the underwater world which she experiences first hand as an avid scuba diver.
Miranda works in Computer Aided design and is able to produce a photo realistic image of most designs under taken, allowing a client to see their creation before it is actually made.
